January 4, 2011

Dear Web-Access Customer:

In order to continue providing our customers with quality email service, we will be performing necessary upgrades to our service January 10, 2011.  It is necessary for you to make a few simple changes to your email account settings prior to the conversion date in order for your email to continue working properly.  You should not experience any disruption of service with the conversion as long as the changes are made before the conversion takes place.

Please make the following changes to your email account settings before January 10, 2011:

Special Note:  Blackberry and other Smartphone/Data phone users:  When you initially set up your Smartphone to receive emails your instructions may have directed you to check “leave a copy on server” on your computer email software.  Please uncheck by January 10, 2011 to avoid being flooded by old emails.  If your Smartphone requires emails to be saved to the server, you may re-check this Monday, January 10, 2011.

Special Note:  Smartphone users (other than Blackberry) –After the conversion you may need to go into the email set-up on your phone and be sure “Outgoing server requires authentication” is checked.

We have attached step-by-step instructions for the most commonly used email software.

If you use Web-Access webmail, you may notice that it has a new look.  Please don’t be alarmed by this; it is a function of the new server interface and not a highjack or redirect attempt.

If you have any questions concerning the email conversion or need assistance, please do not hesitate to call us at 325-348-3130 or 800-1439-1723.  We are happy to answer any questions or walk you through each step to make the necessary changes to your email account.  You may also send email questions to amber_bouldin@web-access.net.

Thank you for choosing Web-Access!
