The Brownwood Rotary Club sets out the U.S. Flag six times a year in front of businesses in the downtown area of Brownwood, Texas.   Each business pays $35 a year for each flag.  This is a 3X5 flag on a ten foot metal pole.

The club members drill the holes, maintain the holes and flags, put out the flag and pick it up on the six special days as follows:

President's Day - February
Memorial Day - May
Flag Day - June 14
Independence Day - July 4
Patriot's Day - September 11
Veterans Day - November 11

At the present time the club sets out over 100 flags, including 30 flags that are placed at the traffic "T"in Brownwood, free of charge.  In addition, the club also loan their spaces to the Lions Booster Club so that they may place their Brownwood High School Lions flags on football game days and other school special events.  And we loan out the flags to be placed downtown for the annual Rodeo Parade and other special events..
