Each person that is responsible for a program will pay for the speaker and any other guests they bring to the club.  Please do not charge their meal to the club.  If you see that you have been assigned a date that conflicts with your schedule, please switch with someone and let Laura know.  She sends out reminders to the club and it is nice to include information about the program.

The Rotary Board, in meeting after last week's luncheon, approved the Brownwood Rotary Club goals for the 2009-2010 Rotary year.  The are as follows:

1.  Membership:  Add a net addition of two members this year.  Continue new member orientations.
2.  Service Projects:
     A. Blood Drive - hold one per quarter
     B.  Scholarships - Give 2 - $1,000 and 4 - $500 in May.
     C.  Donate dictionaries to approximately 600 3rd graders in Brown County.
     D.  Enlarge flag raising participants by five.
     E.  Send one student to RYLA.
     F.  Have 16 Student of the Month, starting in September and ending in April.
3.  Rotary Foundation:  Aim for 100% participation through quarterly or annual donations.
4. Public Relations:  Work toward maximum PR coverage for service projects and weekly meeting announcements.  Give the student scholarships in the high school award assemblies in May.
5. Award Volunteers:  Award Rotary members for their participation in-service projects, community involvement and club activities.
6.  GSE Teams:  Work with other clubs in district to host a GSE Team this year.
